What learning should look like.

Welcome to a true forest school, situated in the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina! Children, ages three and a half to ten, enjoy this interest-led & inquiry-based learning platform in the Okatie area. This educational experience takes place in a classroom with no walls where children benefit tremendously by being immersed in nature while learning. In this Christian learning environment, children are allowed to explore and discover with knowledgeable teachers by their side. Research confirms that being outside reduces stress while improving cognitive, physical, and social skills. We believe learning at a young age should be fun, allowing fundamental concepts and understandings of the world around them to be established through experience!

Pre-k/Kindergarten Program. Rather than a pre-determined curriculum, we experience the ever-changing lessons that nature teaches throughout its seasons. Our interest-led approach allows children to tap into their inner explorer and truly enjoy the process of learning. Unstructured play gives children the freedom to develop critical skills in a much more natural and stress-free environment.

Elementary Program. A perfect choice for homeschool families that want their child to get outside to explore, learn, and socialize. This program allows your first through fifth grader to be fully immersed in nature as they investigate our habitat alongside a Lowcountry Master Naturalist. Children will enjoy the interest-led approach to learning science concepts while rebalancing in nature.
